R.T.T.S.
P.P.S. Rules Updated 11/09/08In an effort to improve racing and to deter aggressive and reckless driving, TT Racing has instituted a Penalty Points System. This system has been tailored to our league’s culture but parts of this system have been borrowed from other similar systems in other leagues. This system involves the monitoring of yellow flags during a race and the assessment of penalty points based on the driver that caused the incident that brought out the yellow flag.
HOW TO GET PENALIZED
At the conclusion of each race, the series admin and/or
league members selected by the admin will review the replay and assess points
based on incidents that cause a yellow flag.
If a driver causes a yellow flag during a race for ANY reason, you may be given 1 penalty point for that incident.
Self spins will only be penalized for each spin after the 1st unless the other spins caused any damage or harm to another driver. Drivers that self spin twice will be required to park it. Penalty points are only given on incidents where the yellow flag is waived. There is no limit to the number of points a driver can receive in one race. If a driver Self spins twice and does not collect any cars it will only be a 10pt deduction.
A driver that does not park it after 2 self spins. Gets points equal to that of where he should of parked it plus a 25 pt deduction.
A driver is allowed to accrue 1 CAUTION with no consequence. Once a driver accrues 2 or more CAUTIONS,
For their 2nd CAUTION it will be a 20 point deduction in the drivers standings.
And must park we only allow a driver to have 2 cautions in a race.If they do not park and review shows they should have last place points will be awarded.
If cars are involved in a incident after the Caution flag comes out and it could have been avoided it is an automatic 25 pt deduction.
so don't try driving through wrecks we aren't days of thunder.THE ABOVE RULE WILL BE ENFORCED!
If a wreck is deemed intentional it will be automatic 25pt deduction.
Also, the PPS can still be received even if the yellows are turned off.
REVIEW PROCESS
The administrators of each series reserve the right to
override any judgment made by a member of their respective review committee. In
addition, they reserve the option to apply a point where it is deemed necessary
based on the situation and circumstances. All submitted reviews by committee
members will be consolidated into one report based on consistent incident
reports by the members.
Each week’s report will be published with the Race Results and the current penalty points standings will be displayed on the website for all members to view.
The league's administration also reserves the right to modify this system at any time.
APPEAL PROCESS
The appeals process will follow the same guidelines as
disclosed in the League rules. All appeals must be submitted to the series admin
by email. They will consider all appeals fairly and with an open mind.
This system should be embraced as a positive for
our series so we can continue to offer some of the best racing out there.
